Engineering & Operations
Ahmadeus designs, builds and operates production software and infrastructure for upper middle market and Fortune 500 companies across industries. We are brought in when a system has to be built that does not yet exist, when one that does exist is failing, or when a transformation needs experienced hands to lead it rather than advise on it. The firm’s engineering and advisory work are done by the same people, so the judgment we bring to a boardroom comes from systems we have built and run.
When companies bring us in
Building something new: Custom platforms, AI systems, fintech and payments infrastructure, and the operational tools a business runs on.
Fixing what isn’t working: Systems that are failing, not scaling, or breaking at a critical moment. Vendor work that fell short. Platforms built wrong that need to be rescued.
Leading transformation: Companies that have outgrown their systems and need a partner who can assess what is wrong and build what comes next.
After a transaction: Post-close integration, platform consolidation and portfolio-level technology oversight for private equity sponsors and their companies
Capabilities
The firm works across the stack: software engineering, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, fintech and payments, cloud and infrastructure, and data and analytics, from architecture through deployment and ongoing operations. Managed operations are run by our own team or by vetted specialists working under our direction and accountability.
Industries
Manufacturing and logistics: operational systems that determine throughput, margins and scalability.
Financial services and fintech: compliance-first architecture, payments infrastructure and technology risk in regulated environments.
Healthcare and pharmaceuticals: clinical data platforms and systems built to withstand HIPAA and regulatory scrutiny.
Professional services, CPA Firms, and law firms: secure platforms, data governance and electronic evidence.
Private equity portfolios: technical diligence, integration and platform rescue across holdings.
How mandates are run
Mandates range from a focused one- to two-week assessment to multi-year technology partnerships. Each begins with an assessment of what is technically true: what the current systems do, where they are fragile, and what they depend on. For build and transformation work, the firm leads the full initiative from architecture through deployment, with documentation and controls in place from the outset rather than assembled for an audit. Most mandates continue as ongoing operations, and the firm remains responsible for how its systems perform as conditions change.
Standard
What we deliver is built to withstand scrutiny from internal audit, from regulators, and, when it comes to that, in litigation. The firm’s forensic work, examining after the fact how systems failed, informs how we build them in the first place.
Clients
Most of our work is with upper middle market companies across manufacturing, financial services, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, and professional services, typically between $200 million and $2 billion in revenue, along with the private equity firms that own them. We bring the same standard to these companies that we have brought to institutions such as Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Barclays, Citi, Novartis, Verizon and Hearst.
